What I Read in April

I'm currently sitting on a window sill that overlooks part of campus listening to my friend practice her her flute and pretending that juries are finals aren't just around the corner. What better way to continue to distract myself then to talk about the books I read last month?

Fun fact, this is the second time I filmed this video and it was completely unplanned, which probably explains how haggard I look. But moving on, I felt like I didn't read that many in the month but it actually came out to being six books which is pretty good. The highlight has to be Rust and Stardust by T. Greenwood cause that book is just an eye-opening, life-changing story that I can't stop thinking about.

So looking towards May, I'm currently attempting to participate in the Buzzword Readathon which is currently going on. I only have one book on my TBR which is The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden which is the sequel to The Bear and the Nightingale (one of my favorites from 2017). I'm about 200 pages through and so in love! It is taking a lot of willpower for me not to flip to the end because I just want to know how it all happens.

I don't know what else I definitely want to read...continuing the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy would be good. Oh, I almost forgot! I'm also in the middle of A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas which actually just recently came out. I was going to buddy read it with my friend but she's actually done so I have a bit of catching up to do.

On the bright side of things, sophomore year is almost over which means I can finally go home, snuggle with my bunny, and visit the library every day to find new things to read. Well, that's the hopeful goal but to be honest I will probably be working every day...a girl can dream.

Good luck to everyone with finals!

  1. Good luck on your exams, Rivalie! I've only read Daughter of Smoke and Bone from the books you mentioned (and it seems like you loved it more than I did, since you read it so many times already!), but Rust & Stardust definitely sounds awesome. I've not heard of it, so thanks for the heads up. ;)
